Here is a list of items to do to close the cabins. Click here for a pdf version. Just reverse the procedures to open up again.
- Pull water line from lake (drain and leave attached to pump)
- Drain water from pump – remove (unscrew) black drain plug on side of housing to drain. Leave plug in container on shelf in shed.
- Drain cabin water system – drain is at bottom of loop between stairs and shed
- Clean out water tank – remove lid, sweep, rinse, replace lid
- Drain hot water tank – attach hose to drain and let it drain out front door of lodge
- Open exterior drain on lodge water system (outside behind toilet in front of grill closet.
- Put antifreeze in toilet and shower drain.
- Leave all faucets open.
- Remove trap caps (screw of) or put in antifreeze (bathroom and kitchen)
- Drain water filter under kitchen sink. Can be reassembled once it is drained or just leave off.
- Pull up boat and turn over next to toy shed
- Drain H2O and lube small outboard
- Put a few squirts of oil in cylinders of generator and pump motor.
- Make sure canoes are secure
- Clean out fireplace and close damper
- Turn off gas main valve and cabins (lodge and Duck)
- Cover windows – hang tops and put screws in bottoms
- Drain hose to fish cleaning station
- Clean out biolet - dump buckets in woods and rinse them out.
- Stack dock sections at base of dock on concrete
- Winch up dock
- Arrange to have boat lift taken out of water
